#

?? How to Apply Your MeloNail Press-Ons

##

What's Included in Every Set

? 10 press-on nails in assorted sizes ? Professional nail file ? Wooden cuticle stick ? Alcohol prep pad ? Adhesive tabs (for 2-3 days wear) ? Professional nail glue (for 2-3 weeks wear) ? Detailed instruction card

#

?? Step-by-Step Application

##

PREP (5 minutes)

Step 1: Clean Your Nails - Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water - Dry completely-moisture is the enemy of adhesion! - Remove any old polish with acetone-free remover

Step 2: Push Back Cuticles - Use the included cuticle stick - Gently push cuticles back - This creates more surface area for the press-on to adhere

Step 3: File Natural Nails Short - File your natural nails as short as comfortable - File in one direction (not back and forth) - This prevents lifting at the tips

Step 4: Buff Nail Surface - Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails - This removes shine and creates a slightly rough texture - Don't over-buff-just a few gentle passes

Step 5: Clean with Alcohol - Use the included alcohol prep pad - Wipe each nail thoroughly - Let dry completely (30-60 seconds) - This step is CRITICAL for long wear

##

APPLY (5 minutes)

Choose your method based on how long you want to wear them:

###

Method A: Adhesive Tabs (2-3 Days Wear)

Best for: Events, testing designs, frequent changes

Steps:

1. Size Selection - Match each press-on to your natural nail - Should cover nail bed edge-to-edge without touching skin - When in doubt, size down (you can file the sides)

2. Apply Tab - Peel backing from adhesive tab - Press tab onto your natural nail - Smooth out any air bubbles

3. Peel Second Backing - The tab has two protective layers - Peel the top layer to reveal sticky surface

4. Press On Nail - Align press-on at cuticle (leave 1-2mm gap) - Press down at a 45 angle - Flatten and hold firm pressure for 30 seconds

5. Repeat - Work from thumb to pinky on each hand - Start with your dominant hand's thumb

Pro Tips: - Work quickly-tabs lose stickiness if exposed to air too long - Apply even pressure across entire nail - Avoid water for 1-2 hours after application

###

Method B: Nail Glue (2-3 Weeks Wear)

Best for: Long-term wear, maximum durability

Steps:

1. Size Selection (same as above)

2. Apply Glue to Natural Nail - Apply thin layer of glue to your natural nail - Don't use too much-thin is best! - Work on one nail at a time (glue dries fast)

3. Apply Glue to Press-On - Add small dot of glue to inside of press-on - Spread slightly with the nozzle

4. Press and Hold - Align press-on at cuticle (leave 1-2mm gap) - Press down at 45 angle, then flatten - Hold FIRM pressure for 30-60 seconds - Don't let go early!

5. Check Seal - Look for glue squeeze-out at edges (means good seal) - Wipe excess immediately with cuticle stick

6. Repeat Carefully - One nail at a time - Clean glue nozzle between applications

Pro Tips: - Less glue = better hold (counterintuitively!) - If glue touches skin, wipe immediately - Wait 2 hours before getting nails wet - Avoid hot water for first 24 hours

?? How to Care for Your Nails

##

Daily Care Tips

DO: ? Wear gloves for cleaning, dishes, or gardening ? Use cuticle oil daily (keeps nails flexible and prevents lifting) ? Pat nails dry after washing hands ? Use the pad of your finger (not nail tips) to open things ? Reapply glue to edges if you notice lifting

DON'T: ? Soak in hot water for extended periods ? Use nails as tools (opening cans, scratching, etc.) ? Pick or peel at edges ? Expose to harsh chemicals without gloves ? File or cut press-ons while wearing them

##

Making Them Last Longer

First 2 Hours Are Critical: - Avoid water completely - Don't touch or adjust nails - Let adhesive fully cure

First 24 Hours: - Avoid hot water (lukewarm is fine) - No swimming, hot tubs, or long baths - Be extra gentle

Throughout Wear: - Apply cuticle oil daily around edges - File any rough edges immediately - Touch up with glue if lifting begins - Keep nails dry before bed

##

Expected Wear Time

With Adhesive Tabs: 2-3 days With Nail Glue: 2-3 weeks Factors that affect wear: - How oily your natural nails are - How much water exposure - How well you prepped - Your daily activities

?? How to Remove Safely

##

The Golden Rule

NEVER pull, rip, or force press-ons off. This can damage your natural nails!

##

Method 1: Soak Method (Recommended)

What You Need: - Bowl of warm soapy water - Cuticle stick - Cuticle oil or moisturizer

Steps:

1. Soak - Fill bowl with warm (not hot) water - Add a few drops of hand soap or dish soap - Soak nails for 10-15 minutes - Water should seep under press-ons

2. Gently Wiggle - After soaking, gently wiggle each press-on side-to-side - They should start to loosen - If still tight, soak longer-never force!

3. Lift with Cuticle Stick - Once loose, use cuticle stick to gently lift edges - Work slowly from one side - Continue wiggling as you lift

4. Final Soak if Needed - If any nails won't budge, soak 5-10 minutes more - Patience is key!

5. Clean Natural Nails - Remove any remaining glue with nail file - Wash hands - Apply cuticle oil generously

Time Required: 15-20 minutes Works Best For: Adhesive tab application

##

Method 2: Oil Method

What You Need: - Cuticle oil, coconut oil, or olive oil - Cuticle stick

Steps:

1. Apply Oil - Apply generous amount of oil around all edges of each press-on - Massage gently - Let sit for 5-10 minutes

2. Add More Oil - Reapply oil, focusing on cuticle edge - Try to work oil under press-on nail

3. Gently Lift - Use cuticle stick to gently lift from side - Add more oil as you work - Press-on should slide off slowly

4. Clean and Moisturize - Remove remaining glue - Wash hands - Apply cuticle oil

Time Required: 10-15 minutes Works Best For: Light glue application

##

Method 3: Acetone Method (For Stubborn Glue)

Only use if other methods don't work

What You Need: - 100% pure acetone (not nail polish remover) - Cotton pads - Aluminum foil - Cuticle oil

Steps:

1. File Top Layer - Gently file the shiny top coat of press-on - This helps acetone penetrate - Don't file your natural nail!

2. Soak Cotton Pads - Soak cotton pads in pure acetone - Place on each nail

3. Wrap in Foil - Wrap each fingertip in small piece of foil - Leave on for 10-15 minutes

4. Check and Remove - Press-ons should be very soft or dissolved - Gently push off with cuticle stick - Rewrap if still tight

5. Moisturize Immediately - Acetone is very drying - Wash hands thoroughly - Apply cuticle oil and hand cream generously

Time Required: 20-25 minutes Works Best For: Heavy glue application

#

?? Reusing Your MeloNails

Yes, you can reuse them! With proper removal and care, each set can be worn 3-5 times.

##

How to Clean for Reuse

1. Remove Old Adhesive - Gently peel off old adhesive tabs - Or file off dried glue with nail file - Be gentle to avoid scratching the design

2. Clean with Alcohol - Wipe inside of each press-on with alcohol - This removes oils and residue

3. Check for Damage - Inspect each nail for chips or cracks - Set aside any damaged ones

4. Store Properly - Place in original box - Store in cool, dry place - Keep away from direct sunlight

? Troubleshooting & FAQs

##

"My press-ons keep popping off!"

Common Causes: - Natural nails not cleaned properly (most common!) - Too much glue used - Natural nails too oily - Water exposure too soon - Wrong size selected

Solutions: - Make sure nails are completely dry before applying - Use alcohol prep pad thoroughly - Wait full 2 hours before water exposure - Use less glue (thin layer works better) - Try sizing down if press-on is too big

##

"There's glue on my skin!"

Solution: - Don't panic-don't pull! - Soak in warm soapy water - Gently peel once softened - Apply moisturizer - Glue will come off naturally in 1-2 days if you can't remove it

##

"One nail lifted but others are fine"

Solution: - Remove the press-on carefully - Clean both natural nail and press-on with alcohol - Reapply with fresh glue - Hold for full 60 seconds

##

"The press-ons are too big/small"

For Too Big: - File the sides with nail file - File in one direction toward center - Check fit frequently - Can make press-on 1-2 sizes smaller this way

For Too Small: - Try next size up - If all sizes too small, contact us-we'll help!

##

"Can I paint over them?"

Yes! - Use regular nail polish - Remove with non-acetone remover - Acetone will damage the press-on

##

"Can I shower/swim with them?"

Shower: Yes, after 2 hours Swimming: Yes, after 24 hours Hot tub: Wait 48 hours (heat weakens glue)

Tips: - Pat dry after water exposure - Avoid prolonged soaking - Reapply oil after swimming

##

"Will they damage my natural nails?"

No! When applied and removed correctly: - Press-ons are one of the healthiest nail enhancements - They protect your natural nails from damage - No UV light, no harsh chemicals, no drilling

To prevent damage: - Always remove properly (never rip off!) - Take breaks between applications if desired - Keep natural nails moisturized

##

"How do I choose the right size?"

Measure Your Nails: 1. Use tape to measure width of each nail bed 2. Check our size chart 3. When in doubt, size down (you can file press-ons) 4. Each set includes 10 nails in various sizes
